The MAC III Performance™ is a flexible, high-output profile moving
head with a new interleaved framing system with full crossover of
each blade and industry first continuous rotation for new and
unlimited projection, framing and effects possibilities.
Capable of creating a greater variety of shapes than competitive
products, it is available as a stand-alone fixture or as a cost
effective upgrade that installs in minutes on any existing MAC III
Profile™.
Framing unlimited
The MAC III Performance’s unique continuous rotation framing system
is an industry first. Four individually controllable shutter blades
can be micro-adjusted in an infinite variety of positions for a
greater refinement of beam shape, and continuous rotation allows the
image to revolve successively at any angle.
Each shutter blade can move across the entire beam to a complete
blackout so not only are more shapes possible but any shape can be
positioned in any part of the field of light. This flexibility in
shapes comes via an interleaved system which also ensures optimal
focus of all blades.
The flexible shutter system allows gobos to be seamlessly crossfaded
in and all four blade edges stay in uniform focus for an overall
sharper projection.
Primarily used to frame set elements and performers, continuous
rotation framing allows the MAC III Performance to also be used as a
unique and capable effect light.
Animation and framing in one fixture
The MAC III Performance includes Martin’s pioneer gobo animation
system which allows for the projection of effect simulations such as
rising flames, drifting clouds, driving rain, turbulent water and
much more.
No competitor offers a framing and animation system in one moving
head. The result is all new projection and mid-air effects
possibilities for greater artistic freedom.
Feature packed
In addition to the module features, the 1500 watt MAC III
Performance houses all of the advanced features you’ve come to
expect from the MAC III Profile: efficient optics, CMY color mixing,
color wheel, variable CTO, dimming, zoom, modular design, electronic
ballast and more. It is also the quietest fixture in its class.
The MAC III Performance is fully RDM compatible and in order to make
the fixture even more user-friendly, on-board software creates a
service and event log for download.
Profile to Performance…and back again
The MAC III Performance module easily converts any MAC III Profile
into a MAC III Performance in less than five minutes, bringing added
flexibility and value to existing MAC III Profile fixtures for very
little cost.
Easily convertible from profile to performance and back again, users
can enjoy all the benefits of both without having to invest in two
separate luminaires.
The easy-to-swap module consists of a framing system with continuous
rotation, shutter, iris, rotating gobo wheel (5 gobos), animation
wheel and color wheel. Additionally, a frost filter is supplied to
replace the prism. The module can be easily uninstalled and the
fixture returned to a standard MAC III Profile at any time. |
